I found out at a dentist's appointment that I was a heart attack waiting to happen. I found the book Body for Life - and that's where it started. I realize Body For Life isn't bodybuilding, but it planted the seed. I went from 258 to 193 in 12 weeks. I tore up my wrists (tendinitis) and have had to start all over ... Gone is the lean muscle. I've left my workout partner and my cushy gym, which I believe held me back. It's back to square one. Me, the sweat, the weights, my garage - and given the heat in the 'burbs of Phoenix - It's hot! Very hot. Thus, the name - "The Oven." I'm very stoked!
Why I Love It:
For about one hour - it's just me, the iron and my desire to be better. For that time, I forget about everything that stresses or worries me.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at my "before" picture. It hangs on my bathroom mirror. I see it everyday.

My goal is to remain consistent - including weights, cardio and diet.
Goal (Long):
For 12 weeks - I will workout six days each week. Three days with weights and three with cardio. I'm 6-3, and weighing 235. I want to get to 205 and a decrease in bodyfat. I'm currently sporting a 40 waist - I want to breathe easy in 34s. Wish me luck. Thanks to each who share their inspiration each and every day here!
