When I Started:
May, 2009
How I Started:
As far as I can remember I have been going back and forth with losing weight. We just got back from attending a wedding in Philly and I got to meet the rest of my fiancee's family. Months prior to it I was anxious about meeting them because I was ashamed of my weight. I think it was the kick I needed to motivate me, or rather open my eyes. The day after we returned I started working out again and eating right. For years I walked around thinking, "There is always someone worse and always someone better"...thinking back on it now...I was just giving myself an excuse to stand still. Not anymore...I won't spend the rest of my life uncomfortable in my own skin.
Why I Love It:
I actually like working out, I always seem to kind an excuse not to do it..."my feet hurt from being on them all day, I have to cook, I will do it later...etc etc" I decided to stop making excuses and just do it. When I do work out regularly, I initially notice a substantial improvement in my energy. The longer I keep at it, I find that the discipline I have seeps into every other area of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Honestly it is a tie between the pictures from the wedding (they looked good but I knew I could be better) and also that same week my little brother (whom I am very close to) left for basic training. I had grown accustom to spending my free time with him. Now that he isn't around I try to past the time either working out or reading articles that involve fitness or nutrition. I want him to come home and be proud of me and be inspired by his big sister!
BB Accomplishments:
None other than being consistent with my workouts and eating clean...but stay tuned...I am on my way!!!
ever since I can remember I have wanted to enter a figure or fitness competition. I want to be able to look at myself and know that it took hard work and discipline to achieve the body of my dreams. I believe that with a clean diet, exercise and discipline I can achieve this with the next year.
Oh my goodness where ever do I start? Was feeling great about myself, being that I am now doing a cardio session upon waking and then a second session in the evening followed by weights. All that came crashing down when I discovered that I gained 2 lbs this week! I mean...are you...
Hello girlie! No big plans here. What about you? Thanks about the tee. I got it at the Olympia. Bought it right from Monica Brant. She's awesome. :) I am home (bored) and figured I would try it on for my avi. :)
Hey Steph, How have you been doing Hun? How is the training coming along? I just wanted to check up with you cents I haven't stoped by in such a long time! Sorry about that!
I just stopped by to wish you nothing but success as you work towards your fitness goal. Too many people think it can’t be done and so they don't even try but you are proving that with hard work and dedication it can be. Keep up the great work. I look forward to watching your continuing progress. You are a great inspiration to so many
others.
thank you! Now tell me how you are a baker and dont eat it all. I was pregnant with my 2nd child and worked in one. I almost turned into a blueberry donut
