Did the Marine Corps marathon (my first) in 3:49. Had alot of ups and downs in training. Shin splints, torn knee cartlidge blistered feet and minor aches and pains that is just part of the game. This time listen to my body. Not to set a pr everyday.

Well another tough week of work and training. Started the week on Saturday going to Bedford NH dropped that load off Sunday morning and made to Lamar Pa for the night.Got home Monday afternoon and did a quick 5 miler Tuesday went to the docs office and planned to get the shoulder operation don...
Pump and run sold out quick. Hard to pick a weekend without a 5k anymore. There seems to be one every weekend from June through the end of July! June 27th is the date we picked.
That's too bad about the shoulder. It's so much harder to train with injury, that's why injury-avoidance is at the top of my list as a component of training. Good luck getting ready for the marathon.
Glad the leg is better. How is the shoulde? Are you typing one-handed? LOL.
Pretty much done with training, will do light workouts next week. Starting to get excited about it! Stair climb is going to be torture though.
damn Pete that is tough luck! how bad are the injuries? is the Dr hopeful you'll recover 100% or close to that?
