When I Started:
How I Started:
This is my rough draft! This first attempt at writing begins my story at age 15 when I started college as an advanced placement student. I out of curiosity signed up for a dance class, and became infatuated with moving, and soon danced 6-8 hours daily, gaining a BFA in Dance: Performance and Choreography 4 years later. Many years later I started running when I discovered that "areobics" classes were no longer challenging me. After 8 months of running I ran my first Marathon in a time of 3:16:42. I was fast, even tho my weight was not at performance level. This year, I decided that I would no longer let my dreams slip through my fingers, and I would work to obtain the body I needed to run a race more efficiently. No more eating whatever I wanted, I needed to be disciplined. I was very happy with how I looked 20 lbs heavier than I am now, but I just wanted to run and not jiggle, run and not be passed, run and FLY. Now my weight is close to where I want it to be. Racing has yet to come. Will I run faster? Will I obtain a P.R. (personal record?) Will I win a race this year? It is still yet to be seen...
Why I Love It:
Being strong and having endurance makes me feel ON TOP OF THE WORLD. My mom used to say, in an apocalyptic type world, I would be the one who ran messages back and forth (Yes, too many science fiction nerds in my family!)
How I Stay Motivated:
BB Accomplishments:
Not really bodybuilding, but I ran 100 miles in one week on a dare! Might try 125 miles at some point. LOL
This back picture was taken 3 weeks after my last of this same pose. I can see more definition. I was on my tippy toes, and starting to fall to the left. Hehe.
This is a simplistic calculation, but by losing 10lb I can take 30 seconds off per mile. For a marathon, theoretically, I could take 13 minutes off my overall time while maintaining the same level of cardiovascular fitness. Marathon goal 3:03:00, Half Marathon goal 1:24:00, 10k goal 39:00, 5k goal 19:00.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 5 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
10%

Sometime Around Midnight (Video) - The Airborne To
Played: 25
Why I like this video: I love how Mikel is able to express his anguish with such beautiful poetry and explosive passion. So intoxicating. It would be awesome to capture this kind of energy in every workout.
El Tango De Roxanne - Moulin Rouge
Played: 15
Why I like this video: I am in love with Moulin Rouge, and this solo female dancer's body! (I used to dance.) This video is worth watching. Dancers ARE athletes and artists combined.I may go back for a Masters in Dance one day.
I finished the half in 2hrs. and 5min. thanks for the encouragement, it was pretty fun, well I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving! and I'll chat with you later
That is a really great 3 mile time too!I think I would have physically enjoyed the marathon better if I had been better trained. But otherwise I really liked it. I want to become a more consitant runner and then I will think about my next one. Do you have a race scheduled?
Its good to have a sense of humor! However, some people may really be into feet and you just might find yourself getting some wierd comments! But I'm sure you are used to getting those!! lol Sorry, had to poke a little fun at ya!!
