I worked out in high school but wasnt that serious about it. A couple of years into college i got back into it, would sign up at the gym for a few months and when my membership ran out, i stopped going. But as of march 2006, i became serious. I read a lot and have a lot of knowledge about bodybuilding, dieting, nutrition, i use supplements and consider myself knowledgeable about them. I consistently go to my local gym now, going at least 3 days a week no matter what, but i aim for 5 days.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy improving my body and understanding how it works, and get satisfaction out of taking my knowledge and hard work in the gym and achieving results. I am a physique enthusiast, my goal is to add 15 pounds of muscle.
How I Stay Motivated:
Bodybuilding is about prioritizing yourself. I work out with a friend and with my brother, my friend is reliable as a partner, my brother not so much. But the bottom line is you can only count on yourself, and it can be frusrating on days when you want your usual spotter, rather than explaining to a stranger how you like to be spotted. But what keeps me motivated is that its simply satisfying to complete a good workout, and along with having realistic goals, seeing and feeling the progress keeps me motivated.
BB Accomplishments:
I've worked out before but never as seriously as i do now, and never had any real goals. I was unhappy with my physique because i was just slightly over weight, by about 10 pounds, and i just wasn't happy with my muscularity. So when i started working out seriously, i made it a point to lose weight at first, and in about a month i lost 10 pounds, and then i made muscle gain my number one priority, and since then i've gained about 5 pounds of muscle and made good improvements in my weights.

I want to be strong and look muscular, i would like my bench press to be in the mid 200 lb range, chest has always been something that lags behind for me. I'm not necesarrily trying to achieve a six pack, but i would like to have good definition in all of my muscular groups. Overall, i'm just going to push myself until i have the physique that i want, and when i achieve it, my goals will change.
