How I Started:
I was never fit or healthy; I decided to make a change and I've never looked back.
I started walking, then found a love for running. After taking up weight training, I liked the way my body was looking, so now I'm an official workout freak.
Why I Love It:
I never was a fan of fitness - I preferred to read and write. A few years ago, if someone told me I'd be out running every day, I'd ask 'Who's chasing me??'
Now, I feel strong and full of vitality. I don't need a man to help me open jars or move furniture! I look and feel better today than I did in my teens and early twenties.
How I Stay Motivated:
If we all relied on motivation, no-one would be fit! For me, it's programming.(I know it sounds very 'Dr Phil', but it's true!)
I've had a few days where I've had to just make myself go. I have a commitment and I'm going to keep it. I know that after ten minutes of training, I'll feel so much better, and I also know that fitness is not about motivation, but having the self-discipline to stick to the program even when you don't feel like it.

My greatest accomplishments are still to come!!
I do feel pretty good when I see fella's at the gym and I'm lifting heavier weights than them.

ooohhh...i hope you feel right now. You look lean and muscular anyway! I was on my vacations but i am working again and i am training for an adventure race in the mountains on march 11. Besides i am doing some weights too. Thanks for asking!! Do you have msn??
Hi Jen - just rated your most recent pic (bi flex). How are your delts and tris? Perhaps you'll consider adding a shot showing off the delts and tris. In any event keep up the good work.
