How I Started:
I started working out at the request of my high school football coaches. After that I worked out on and off until my senior year in college. At that point I became very interested in the science and mechanics of everything. After that my engineering mind took over and I've been hooked. This current workout represents the longest stretch of consistent exercise and weight lifting I've done, not including sports.
Why I Love It:
The changes that you can make to a routine to change where you focus on your body. The ability to make huge strides in physical capability doing simple things. The fascinating way the body adapts to what you do to it, and how supplementation/nutrition can make or break you. It takes discipline, research, and support to succeed.
How I Stay Motivated:
Set a goal, reach goal, repeat. Plus I like changing things to see how effective they are. From workouts, to angles, to time of day, to the next great supplement. Theres always something to learn and change.
One of the things that fascinates me about bodybuilding, weightlifting, well, everything is the science behind it. I totally geek out when things can be quantified in numbers, measured and quantified. This all leads to solid conclusions and hard results. The odd thing about the body...
Yes, it can be both. You wrote in your blog that the training processing is unpredictable, changes can throw performance and results off. There is a mix of a lot of different variables and it seems that the balancing of those is an art. There is art in producing symmetry of form, etc. (results), of course.
