Finally got the go ahead to start running from the Doc this week. Got damaged at work in Jun and have not been able to do anymajor high impact cardio since then. Strange since I could still squat, leg Press, and calf raise heavy. So I ended up going for a run outside on Tues afternoon...
Oz, I empathize with you more than you could know. When I was younger, I broke my elbow and had to have surgery to put it back together - all the nerves in my hand were affected except for 2, but you couldn't really do much with only 2 nerves - it took over a year for them to regenerate and reconnect - it was a miserable time being in school, and it was my writing hand too. I wish you the best for a good recovery - it will happen. xoxoxo
It is so great to hear from you Oz! I have been enjoying my classes this semester. Midterms went well in spite of my being very sick for two weeks - I am finishing up the antibiotics in two days, and feel so much better. I had my first 'normalish' workout today and it felt good to hurt like that, lol, you know what I mean. thanks so much for dropping by. I continue to pray for your recovery :) xoxoxo
But isn't it a miracle that luck was on your side Oz? Who else can battle over a ton of steele and still live to tell about it twice? Don't you worry about the limitations on your training - your body will respond so well when you are 100percent, and muscle memory will kick it, and it will be twice as fast as the first time
Oz! No worries about the timeframe - I definietly missed hearing from you, but am so happy now to know you are on the mend - that is fantastic news - by the sounds of it, you are a walking miracle :) I am in the midst of school, still training hard - my good news is I was invited to write an article and am featured on: http://abfitt.blogspot.com/
yo u have to scroll down a lil bit - but lots of good stuff on this site - please let keep me updated - I will continue praying for your recovery ~ Jen
