I've spent most of my life competing in gymnastics, dance, and track. After high school was over I needed a way to maintain my condition for dancing and to keep active. Lifting weights seemed like the best option and I haven't looked back.
Why I Love It:
I love the way working out makes me look and feel, I always look good in a bikini now. I enjoy having muscles because it makes me stand out from other girls and I like doing things they can't.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by setting goals for myself and then challenging myself to achieve them. Seeing the improvements in my physique, getting positive feedback from people who see the changes in my body, it inspires me to focus more and work even harder.
BB Accomplishments:
2007 Miss NIU Fitness, 1st place

I'd like to get as fit as I can be and then compete in some fitness competitions.
Goal (Long):
I want to increase my level of fitness so that I can compete in fitness competitions. I already have good flexibility, being in the splits is like second nature to me. I need to develop my endurance and stamina so I can easily get through my fitness routine. I need to increase my strength so I can execute the required strength elements with ease.
Weight Goal:
Bodyfat Goal:
12%
Upcoming Contest:
Midwest Ironman Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championship
Why I like this video: This girl makes doing one armed push-ups look easy, she looks like she could keep doing them all day without breaking a sweat. She totally proves that a girl can be pretty and tough at the same time- she's totally my hero!
[Top18] Shauna Solo
Played: 56
Why I like this video: Shauna was easily one of the best dancers on SYTYCD, she always immerses herself totally in the music. It's too bad she didn't win.
Shauna Noland - State of Emergency
Played: 96
Why I like this video: I had to stick another Shauna clip here, I love watching Shauna dance, she's amazing.
Ever get that feeling that some people just don't like you. A bunch of us decided to go out and play some touch football. In high school, I was always the first girl picked because I was the "athletic" girl, the one you picked if you wanted to win. Well, 4 years later, I'm still...
I do high intensity cardio for 30 minutes at least 4 times a week. I also lift weights 5 times a week, for about an hour a session, using a 3/1/2/1 on/off split, varying between lifting heavy and light. I prefer using free weights, but I use machines where it's more convenient. I also...
I play at Truman State University, it's a smaller school out in the middle of nowhere Missouri, makes me appreciate Chicago at least haha. Got my last season comin up this fall. What are you majoring in at NIU?
Glad you agree with me on the strength thing. Don't worry, only insercue guys are afraid of strong women. Plus you can arm wrestle man for drinks and drink for free after you win. Plus-it will encourcge your BF to stay in shape so you don't make him look bad. LOL!! What you think of those ideas?
Lookin awesome! Good to see another Illinois person, especially somebody who's tearin it up! Keep up the good work, You look incredible! Even more so at only 21!!
You will see me at MuscleMania holding the trophy in October,,, training has been going well getting stronger and leanining out alot more now,, gotta stay focused
Sorry to hear your strength gains have plateaued. Giving it a break a good idea and going in a different area. Your come back stronger after your break. One can never to be strong;). How many credits you taking this summer?
Thanks maddy for the add.
You body looks so fit - ripped and just perfect. Great work!
And squatting more than twice your bodyweight is no joke. It's in fact more than I can do. Keep training hard. :)
