Been fat all my life, and finally got tired of it. I had done a bunch of research but each time I was getting ready to do it I'd find an excuse to forget about it. My equally fat friend told me all of a sudden that he joined a gym. So I said screw it, let's do it.
Why I Love It:
I know I'm actually improving on myself rather than just sitting around doing nothing like I always have. I love the feeling of exhaustion afterwards because I know I just took a step closer towards my goal.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing the numbers on the scale drop helps a lot. Also I love seeing the strength gains I've been making. I know my life could be so much better if I was in shape and looked good, because the way it is now just sucks.
Also, I am now in love with the healthy lifestyle. I'm currently working out 6 days a week and HATE my rest day, I feel like I'm just wasting a day when I could be doing something.
BB Accomplishments:
For the first time in my life, actually losing weight and not gaining it.

I do not a have a specific goal in mind. At this point, I just need to lose weight. I will be lifting the whole time so hopefully I'll have a decent base once the fat is out. I am not looking for a quick fix, this is my new life.
Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
I tell them I want to lose a bunch of weight, but that's it. I don't tell them how I want to completely transform my body and pack on some muscle. I don't want any big expectations right out of the gate.I tell them I want to lose a bunch of weight, but that's it. What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
I've noticed a big problem overweight people have is cutting out fast food and crap like that. I had huge cravings for it when I first started eating healthier. After I started educating myself on proper nutrition, whenever I felt those cravings I would look up the nutritional info on what I wanted. It really makes you sit back and realize you're a lot better without it.I've noticed a big problem overweight people have is cutting out fast food and crap like that. So I just posted a new blog but I'm posting this anyways because it's been bothering me for a while. For a long time I've had it in my head to start leading a healthier lifestyle, lose weight, all that jazz. Of course, I'd wake up the next day and just "forget" about all that and...
Post EVERYTHING - workouts, your diet, supps, how you feel, etc, etc... Be honest, keep consistant and those pounds WILL come off!
Making a journal in the journal section of the forum is also a good idea to get some critique or congrats on what you're doing.
Keep at it, mate! :D
