When I Started:
Feb, 2008
How I Started:
I have a very clear mental image of what I want to look like. After years of starting and stopping various work out programs and goals, I've finally had enough. It's time to make that image a reality - it's time to make that image the one staring back at me in the mirror!
Why I Love It:
It gives me confidence and a sense of accomplishment. At a time in my life where I feel like I've given up on or lost sight of the majority of my goals, transforming my body is the goal I'm holding on to, the one I won't give up on.
How I Stay Motivated:
I'm sick of giving up. It's time. A lot of my motivation is coming from progress right now - I'm seeing a TON of progress with my running and it has inspired me to improve other aspects of fitness.
Average is no longer enough! I want to transform my body from average to amazing - fit, healthy, and hot!
Goal (Long):
I've been average for a long, long time. I've toyed around with several different goals in the past but never followed through. On November 6, 2007 I realized it was time to stick with running once and for all. I set a goal to complete a 10-mile race this May and I'm still going strong! Watching myself stay committed to a goal for almost 4 months has inspired me to reevaluate other areas of my fitness (or lack there of) and wonder what other goals I can accomplish. It feels good to be committed to my goals, and I can't wait to see what it feels like to see them through! My goal now is to begin to transform my body. I am average, but I want to be amazing. I want to be proud to strut around the beach in my bikini this summer, and depending on how things go, I may even enter a figure competition this fall! I'm FINALLY motivated!
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 23 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
15%

Good great quote, and oh so true! I'm working on getting started (yes, still). Had some set backs this week... ok, no set backs. I was very lazy this week but disguised the laziness with claims such as "my change in work schedule threw me off" and "I need a firm action plan...
You do not look like you have all that much to lose but I would suggest you look at the Body for Life program. My wife (bodyspace name: judimax) went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 & I lost 50 lb’s and went from 36 to 10% bodyfat following the BFL program, which is only 12 weeks. It isn’t super easy nor so hard that you can’t achieve your goals. I believe by committing to do what needs to be done, the results will be well worth the effort. Feel free to give either of us a yell.
Good luck on your goals! You put in the time and it will pay off, just look around this site and all the sucess stories. Stay strong and commited to it!
