When I Started:
Jun, 2007
How I Started:
In 2000 I weighed 19st approx 266lbs. I felt motivated to make a massive change, not only had stretch marks appeared on my stomach but I was obviously obese. I've always played about at the gym but that was it. I really got the push going after seeing the 12 week transformation pictures etc and got going from there. I managed to lose 70lbs in 6 months and continued to steadily lose more weight.
Why I Love It:
I missed the whole feel good factor, the natural endorphin release and the fact that I may just make it past 40 and see my daughter grow up if I'm fit and healthy again.
How I Stay Motivated:
Gotta love the progress pictures... Taking some of myself too as I did before. Going to keep posting them too to show all where I'm going. Motivation from others stories of success too
BB Accomplishments:
Losing 70lbs in 6 months and totally transforming the way I looked felt and the way other approached me.
Utterly fantastic, I was stupid to let it slide.
Forum Signature:
298lbs down to current 232lbs
Target is 210lbs by Xmas
Well it is initially, but not eating aint good for the rebound effect. Not been well recently which has meant time off from the gym. Now heavy with cold but feeling well enough to face the morning training again. Weigh in Friday and see if I've put any weight back on at all. I'm hoping that wont...
Thank you so very much for your incredibly kind compliments. It was my pleasure to be able to leave you words of inspiration.Hopefully I will continue to improve and intend to keep working out as it keeps me feeling energized. I have even started a Faith and Fitness group at my church to help others lose weight and get into better physical shape. How about you, is all going well?
You are welcome Jim and thanks. Muscle memory is a very cool thing. Glad to see that you are re-focused and dedicated to get to 15%BF and 210lbs by April '08. I'll be checking in on you to make sure it's happening. -Jeff
Thanks for swinging by, yeah running is real good, you should just go out and jog and I'll bet you'd see the fat fall off a bit faster - not near as good as weight training though.
Very welcome, and thanks working my butt off trying to lose 20 lbs more, problem is I just put 5 lbs of muscle on LOL. Just finished a protein drink, hitting the gym here in less then a hour(midnight).
Ah the weekend TGIF. You better be good :) and if you cant, well then be a dirty rotten scoundrel :)
