When I Started:
Feb, 2008
How I Started:
Tired of seeing other people reach their dreams of getting in shape through blood, sweat and tears, while I sat on my widening ass doing nothing about it. I figured if they could do it, than I certainly could to.
Why I Love It:
I love the rush, the energy I feel, and the results that I'm seeing. Being told I look great, and looking in the mirror and liking what I see.
How I Stay Motivated:
People of this website, fitness magazines, reading about competitions, success stories, losing inches.

To achieve my goals of living life to its fullest and eating to live, not living to eat.
Goal (Long):
I have long thought of changing my body but I've had trouble with motivation. A little over a month ago, I decided to change my bad eating habits and started a 6 day/wk training schedule. I have 3 boys aged 11, 8, and 4yrs, husband, and full time job which sometimes makes it very difficult to find time for me.
I was working out the other day when my 11yr old son noticed my abs and said, "holy crap, you have a 6 pack". Felt so good to hear. I'm not lean enough yet to truly see them and still need more definition on the lower abs but they are there to feel and coming out to the eye. I think...
Training is going well, diet is questionable, motivation is average. Getting ready for the holidays!! How are things with you? Have a great Turkey day!! Cheers, Bryan
Lisa, I'm back in the gym also and diet starts now... LOL... to gain lean muscle mass between seasons. How training going? Looking forward to Turkey day and Xmas!! Have a wonderful week!! Cheers, Bryan
Thank you so much :)! Yes, I feel much better and much healthier. I actually have energy now and don't feel like I'm just barely getting through the day.
Sorry you had to work.. :( Our final match this weekend was grueling. Our Pack (240+ lbs guys) crushed their pack, however their backs (150 - 220 lbs) out ran our backs scoring 3 un-answered tries. We had a great post party barbeque and drained 2 kegs with the other teams. Trick or treating later that night. Have a wonderful week!! Cheers, Bryan
Have a Happy Halloween weekend!! Candy... Candy... Candy!!! Just kidding... a carmel apple will do...LOL!! Last Rugby match this weekend...bitter sweet!! I get my Saturdays back also... now what to do??
Cheers, Bryan
Hope your weekend was great!! Mine was wonderful!! We lost, however a defining play during Rugby match was our pack (8 big guys) driving the other team across their goal line to score a try. About 2000 - 2400 lbs of beef smashing into another team of equal magnitude...rugby ball in the middle of the mess...what a train wreck...LOL!! Have a great week!!! Cheers, Bryan
Had a great game this weekend, a free mud bath spa treatment...total body of course ;) All served up at 40 degrees in a down pour...LOL!! I have never been so muddy in my life... still cleaning mud out of my ears...LOL!!! Lost by one try (score). How was your weekend?? Cheers, Bryan
How's the new house?? Hope your week was awesome!! Looks like 42 degrees and rain predicted for tomorrow's match against Severn Rivers Rugby Football Club (RFC) in Annapolis, MD. Ugly weather, however great day for big guys like myself. The backs (skinny guys) will be slipping all over the place in the mud...LOL!! Have a great weekend!! Cheers, Bryan
How've you been Lisa!! Rugby Match against the undefeated PAC "B" squad was excellent. We had a promising lead in the first half and lost by two conversions in the second half. Had a lot of great Rucks, Scrums, and Lineouts (Rugby terms). Very happy with strength and performance overall. How was your weekend? Hope your week is wonderful!! Cheers, Bryan
Lisa, Hope you had a terrific weekend!! First Matrix Match this weekend...Rugby is in full swing...GRIN!!! Strength training is in check...Cardio is lacking. Will have to get extra in this week prior to Saturday. Have a wonderful week. Cheers, Bryan
Rugby Season is in full swing...our first tournament is this weekend in Richmond, VA (8 teams competing). Vacation was a blast!! Spent time with daughter, home from college, and hit Disney World over the weekend... need a vacation for the vacation... LOL!! Hope your week has been wonderful...looking to the weekend!!
Cheers,
Bryan
