It's been a loooong time! I found this lovely blog-vlog called "Zen and the Art of Weightlifting" (http://www.theironsamurai.com)  and it inspired me to write a post. The workouts have def been happening since the last time I updates (May!?!!?!?). Life has been busy/stressful/eventful etc.  Some thingz: Morning workouts: Are the $hit! I've been adding a lot of new habits into my daily routine lately. Apparently putting up my blogs on BodySpace has not become a habit yet... :/ But, I have to give myself props for the habits I have managed to develop over past few weeks. I've been eating WAY clean lately. I have always been a clean eater in the usual sense of the word, but I'm going hardcore these days. Yup, it's basically all in the title of this entry. Lifting has been so calming and essential to me lately that I was starting to become resentful of my rest days. I've realized recently how silly this is! Rest days are the perfect opportunity to channel gym-zen outside the gym! Party, dance around, bust out a few poses, and enjoy having energy. It's amazing what an awesome playlist can do for your workout. My current playlists were getting very stale, so I made a point this morning of going through my music and plucking out some old good stuff that I hadn't listened to in a long while. That and an extra heavy, low rep (3-5 reps) chest and tri workout and I had a really kickin time at the gym today. I had hit a plateau and didn't really know it but now that I'm moving past it I do. spring85sigma I just read your blog comment and question. Thanks for the comment. I always work out in the morning in fasted state and after the workout go immediately into whatever cardio I have scheduled. I find it helps me to burn more fat. Apr 28, 2012 11:07pm
