At 40 w/4 kids I went from Zero to Ripped and am now in the best shape of my life! Just finished another 12-week round to further transform my bod! www.loracolson.com
Goal (Long):
I was a competitive athlete in high school and college--I ran track and played field hockey. I’ve always been what most people would consider “in shape,” but I have never been healthy with my eating habits OR my training. I had horrible nutrition and crazy dieting “schemes.”
I never really worried about putting extra weight on because I was working out. If I put a lot of weight on, I would just work out harder! I would drink coffee and starve, or eat whatever I wanted and then “work it off.” On the days I wasn’t eating much, I would be so hungry at the end of the day, that I would just make a quick grab for whatever junk was handy…and then keep grabbing! Then…I would run how ever many miles I thought it was going to take to “erase” the food. Not the greatest fitness program. But…it sort of worked, and I could lose weight when I wanted to and eat the food I wanted to.
More recently, though, I put on some extra weight that would NOT come off, in spite of all my best efforts. We were eating out a lot at all kinds of restaurants, going out for drinks, etc…It didn’t take long for me to get a nice “puffy” look going…I thought I could just diet and run (a whole bunch!) like I always had…But it wasn’t working anymore! No matter how seriously I restricted my calories and how many miles I ran, I couldn’t seem to make the scale budge! I could not figure it out!
I got nervous…SCARED! I began researching on the internet, trying to figure out why I wasn’t losing weight. I was barely eating AND running miles and miles!!! This should have worked!
I started finding and reading all kinds of great information—stuff that completely conflicted with my ideas and strategies for losing weight… I was beginning to realize that everything I had ever been doing…my whole life…was, well…DEAD WRONG! I had been wasting so much time, spinning my wheels, and actually short-circuiting any chances for improvement.
I decided to enter a 12-week body transformation contest and it was an incredible experience. I changed my body completely! I really didn't know I could change like this! Highly recommended! My website has details, WWW.LORACOLSON.COM.
I want to continue to get more lean and more ripped. I want to use all of the things I've learned about *proper* nutrition and training to take it to the next level--and SHRED.
I am going to start another round Aug. 31 and in another 12 weeks, I will have more muscle definintion and more obvious cuts in my abs and legs. The back of my legs are horrible, too. That will change in the next 12 weeks!!!
Nutrition is number ONE. Cranking the workouts, number TWO. Shred and get ripped. I want to be 118 pounds and maintain.

A lot of people ask me, "How much cardio do you do?" If they only knew... I really don't do that much! I do 10-20 minutes every other day...Sometimes every 2 days! Quite a change from my old style of working out...
I have been an athlete my whole life--Ran track in high...
You look magnificent. Your training has obviously worked. You have the body that so many women want but are not willing to put the effort into developing. From where you started to where you are now shows tremendous determination and strength of spirit. I congratulate you on all your efforts. You are a fantastic inspiration to others. Stay strong, focused and determined.
You are proof that you cannot dream yourself into the body you want: you must hammer and forge it, rep by rep.
Can't even begin to tell you how fantastic you look. But the progress you've made with your before after pick is the really impressive part!! So the outside looks amazing, but the character inside you that drove it is what commands respect and admiration!!!
I NEeD mY rUgBy!! Training is going well, diet is questionable, motivation is average. Getting ready for the holidays!! How are things with you? Have a great Turkey day!! Cheers, Bryan
