When I Started:
Feb, 2005
How I Started:
I had lifted weights off and on for a few years. Well, I let myself get out of shape for a period of time and decided to get some help from a local gym, Face The Pain in Vrignia Beach. I dieted and decided to take it to another level and compete. After the first competition I was hooked.
Why I Love It:
I love bodybuilding because of that feeling you get when your 16-20 weeks of dieting is up and you see the finished product. Nobody can take credit for what is stepping on stage but me. It also gives me a chance to challenge myself on a daily basis.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by simply wanting to get bigger and better than I was the year before. I compete with myself, and dont concern myself with how big or lean someone else is, I try to beat me from the previous year.
BB Accomplishments:
2005 NASF Military Open- 1st place mens novice tall class.
2006 NASF Military Open- 1st place mens open tall class.
2008 NPC Lenda Murray bodybuilding championships. Light heavywieght division- 6th. Didnt place well because I needed to be a heavyweight because of my height, but a personal victory, finally got my conditioning right.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Dont look at the biggest guy in the gym and decide you are going to be him by the end of the year, it probably wont happen. Patience and consistency are key, set smaller goes and knock them down one at a time.Dont look at the biggest guy in the gym and decide you are going to be him by the end of the year, it probably wont happen. Yesterday was 4 sets leg ext+leg curl whole stack, superset with toe raises (whole stack) then ass to the grass squats (only 135 now) superste with seated toe raise; then pulley crunches and hanging leg wheels (raise with a turn)...Today, I just want to SLEEP!
