How I Started:
I started by readjusting my body to craving fewer carbohydrates by eliminating as much as I could for 6 weeks. After that I started going to the gym and concentrated on cardio and weight loss. After about a year of that, I started lifting heavier to add some lean mass. I will continue on my endeavor of losing unwanted body fat and gaining lean mass.
Why I Love It:
I feel energized when I am working out.
How I Stay Motivated:
I see progress in myself and when other people notice and comment, it makes me want to keep going.
BB Accomplishments:
As of April 2007, I lost a net (fat loss, muscle gain) of 30 pounds and decreased my body fat by 10% from 19% to 9%.

Goal (Long):
My goal is modest, I do not desire to be a huge bodybuilder, but rather a fit individual with an appealing physique. When I was in my early 20's, I was 5'11" and weighed in at a mere 125 pounds. By my late 20's I was 195 pounds, all of it from food. Having played soccer for 14 years, I was never very muscular growing up, I was built for speed, not power. I decided that it was time for a change. I couldn't be in the shape I was in any longer. I researched diets and exercise programs for about a month before starting anything. I chose my game plan and to this day I am constantly sculpting my lifestyle toward improvement. I want to maintain a healthy lifestyle that will allow me to be the best I can be. This is not only a body change, but a lifestyle change......forever.

Ok, it's been about 2 weeks of jumping rope instead of running for my cardio. I can't believe the workout jumping up and down provides. It might be a placebo effect, but I think I have leaned out a bit more (hard to believe after this past Memorial Day weekend).
