HOW I STARTED:

... I've gained and lost 226 POUNDS! There have been other womens profiles up here that have given me the courage to come out with my own transformation. What I have not mentioned is that I have been the biggest weight gainer I know with my pregnancies. My first - I gained 54 lbs. The second I went from 148 and delivered at 220. With my last son, a little over three years ago, I made my Dr quit weighing me a month from delivery -I was at 242 by then. I'll be adding pics so people can really see. So I know how hard it is to lose the weight when you've gotten pretty heavy.

WHY I LOVE IT:

Weight lifting has been the only thing that has allowed me to drop all that weight and have an okay shape. Its made me feel strong and powerful. It gives me a place to constantly challenge myself and feel in total control.

My Workout Program

Gaining as much muscle as I can before I start to cut down for figure. Was doing really heavy weights from mid september to mid january. Now weight is still heavy but almost everything is 12- 15 reps, lots of sets. Legs are hit a couple times a week.

Training diets Suck!- Am I crazy?

So this is sooooo not going how I thought. I mean, I've dieted before. Then again maybe thats why I wasn't successful . How was I suppose to know that I couldn't put jalepenos in my plain tuna. I mean =1/4 cup - 1 g carbs. So I thought sure. And I thought I could keep the peanut butter. And yes - I have a diet pepsi addiction that I thought I would never have to give up. He truly meant - IF ITS NOT ON THE DIET SHEET - DONT PUT IT IN YOUR MOUTH! Not a spice or season - nothing. This is such a learn as you go experience. I'm going to stick with it because I am so not a quitter but this might be...

I think part of it was the whole Mardi Gras thing - lots of stuff closed down Monday and Teusday here. I'm not really big on big drunken street parties and really thats what Mardi Gras is. My age probably shows with that statement :). I'm pushing thru just to get to the gym. My trainer says I am doing great - that I'm not fat, I'm just adding lots of muscle ( and not losing fat) and thats why I can barely get my jeans over my thighs and behind. Most women I think would understand that though we can rationalize this and know we are on the right track we still freak out a certain amount. My girl...
