Overall Goal: I don't just want to reach a number on the scale. I want to be strong and seriously ripped but NOT unfeminine. I could never hope to compete in a fitness contest but I want to look like I could!

How I Started:
I've been flirting with fitness on and off for most of my life. But, I crossed-over from "wanna-be" status about three years ago. A friend of mine started going to the gym on Camp Pendleton regularly and started going with her.
Why I Love It:
I truly LOVE to workout but I need a LOT of guidance. There is so much garbage out there in terms of exercise, health, and authentic fitness these days; so much so that it can be daunting to weed through the bad in order to get to the good. I've had subscriptions to every health magazine there is and have been highly disappointed in all of them with the exception of Oxygen Magazine. And Oxygen magazine is where I found out about Bodybuilding.com! I'm very slow to warm up to things and have been lurking around BB since about September of 2008. My fear was that BB was just another porn site disguised as a fitness community. I am SO happy that BB is everything that it says it is!
How I Stay Motivated:
Well, to be honest, my motivation isn't always consistent. I have days (weeks sometimes) where I just can't see how I can be that picture that is in my head. When I have days like that I re-read my copies of Oxygen and look for new routines on BB.
BB Accomplishments:
So far...not a lot. Just establishing the habit and staying with it for months and not just days is my major accompishment but I have GOT to ramp things up!

Jamie Eason is one of my fitness heroes! Her willingness to recognize the unhealthiness of being a "skinny-fat" (as I've heard her refer to it) and then make serious positive changes is more than inspirational to me. I wish that I would have had the same dedication when I was her age!
Jennifer Nicole Lee absolutely inspires me to work hard! This is a woman that I can relate to. Looking at her before and after pictures gives me the hope that it IS actually possible to shape my body into the body that I have always wanted (with the exception of increasing my height! lol)
Okay, so I’m going to say this straight out so that you’ll know up front what this blog post is about: I want fake boobs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There. I finally admitted it and I feel better. Just for the record, I used to have fabulous boobs naturally…not that anyone reading...
