How I Started:
I was always very active in high school and then I joined the navy and obviously had to stay fit. Then I had a few kids and staying fit went out the window for a good 10+ years. When I became a massage therapist I didn't realize how physically hard I had to work. I decided that I needed to lift some weights to be able to build up some strength and do my job affectively. Well, now I'm hooked :)
Why I Love It:
I'm a freak for anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and biomechanics...and lately it has been a GREAT WAY TO RELIEVE STRESS!!
How I Stay Motivated:
My daughter likes to work out with me at home and she tells me I'm "buff" lol. That's enough motivation for me :)

I am a licensed massage therapist so my job is pretty physical. I massage six days a week and I'm always so exhausted after. I have a tiny frame and not a lot of muscle to begin with. I'm hoping that some cardio and lifting will make me stronger so I can do my job affectively.

I got my ass kicked forĀ a half hour and it was great! Definitely didn't need any cardio after, that was my cardio! It sounds easy but it's really not, lol You need to concentrate on your form on each rep, not on "omg, i have 5 reps left!"
