How I Started:
I've always worked out, weights and cardio both. I recently had my second child in 16 months and it has taken it's toll and left me the dreaded "mom body". I also have battled an eating disorder, bulimia, on and off for over 8 years and it has wrecked my body and self esteem. I want to get healthy and show my beautiful daughter that it's okay to not be skinny (ala eating disorder) but being healthy is beautiful
Why I Love It:
I need it for my sanity! I have a 2 year old and a 5 month old boy and this is my only time for myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading fitness mags and books.

To lose the rest of the 40 lbs. I gained while pregnant with my son. To like my body again.
Goal (Long):
I have had two babies in sixteen months. I was once confident with my looks and body and now do not feel that way. I am 146 lbs currently and pre-pregnancy I was 138. However, I used to be unhealthy and had an eating disorder and disordered thinking about food. I want to overcome that and be fit and healthy at the same time as liking the way I look.

Giving this a try...here goes! I am changing from a low carb diet to Nutrition53 today. Had my first chocolate shake, it was good! Now we'll see if I have any progress.

Hi Lisa! I bought that book you told me about...Body Sculpting for Women and I am learning so much!Now if I can get my butt in gear to clean up my diet and up some cardio. Hope you're doing well!

Leeeeesa! So proud of you. Girl you look good. You are tough on yourself, but I understand 'cause us girls, we all can be. I can't really see any stretch marks and your back and arms look great! Our ab area is always a doozie for us. I don't see you having any problems whipping back into shape. Have you heard of those nike + shoes? They monitor your progress and hook up to your ipod. I know you like running so maybe something to look into. I love you Lisa and you will do it!!!!

Welcome to bodyspace! You will find that there are quite a few people that have battled eating disorders as well and have learned to channel it positively through working out. And there are a lot of people that will help you keep on the right track! Good luck in achieving your goals! :-)
