When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I was tired of being "skinny fat"! I have always been thin, but never in shape, or what I would consider strong and healthy. I never grew up playing sports, and I loathed excercise, but I still wanted to give it a shot. Luckily I had and continue to have the support of my husband. We made the decision to do this together, so January 2008 we started making the change. He wanted to loose weight and I wanted to GAIN!
Why I Love It:
It's my release, my ME time. Bodybuilding gives me the opportunity to change what I don't like, it's also taught me to love myself better. I am stronger and healthier then ever before!!! What's not to love!
How I Stay Motivated:
I always try to keep in mind that changes don't happen over night. Knowing that I can do 6 pull ups now is also a great motivator, I couldn't have dreamed of doing that 2 years ago!
BB Accomplishments:
Running in a 5K last spring and coming in 1st in my age group. Being able to surpass my "best" week after week. I hope to compete next year though!!! Watch out world here I come!!

linlin81changed Weight from 123.2 lbs. to 122.9 lbs., a 0.3 lb. loss in 9 days
I'm really getting excited about my gains now that I'm finally holding myself accountable! I've been lifting for nearly 2 years now, and I'm embarrased to say that it wasn't until a month ago that I starting tracking my progress with pictures, measurements, and journaling. I cannot even...
You would be correct, I do in fact need to continue the workouts. I'm trying to put on 20lbs of muscle and I'll get there. I'm very dedicated to the process and I love being in the gym. Keep up the good work.

You already look better than 99% of 29 y/o females I know. Keep up the hard work!!!
You are definately not "skinny fat" now. Great work, nice and lean with good muscle tone showing through. You obviously have the dedication it takes to compete, best of luck. ---X
