Background

When I Started: Sep 1998
HOW I STARTED:

Too little activity and too much food in highschool resulted in feeling weighed down--literally and metaphorically. I want to learn more about bikini/figure training...the "science" behind mastering diet and training.

WHY I LOVE IT:

Your body is designed to move...it's a feeling and desire that comes naturally.

These things always so intimidating. I feel the need to come up with some brilliantly elaborate, thought provoking entry. Not so.  


 Trying to focus more on my diet/supplementation...and lifting--heavy.  I'm a lifelong vegetarian and recently have been more consistent with consuming casein and whey proteins, Myofusion is a favorite powder of mine....and today I dusted off the container of Amino Monster and am going to include that a couple times throughout the day (despite the flavor which I dislike).  Did 30 minutes of cardio at the gym, then focused o

I consider myself to be a "homebody at heart."  Going to the bars and staying up late can be fun, but it depends on who you're with, not where you are.  Quality over quantity is key.  I'd rather go out a few times each month and make it great, as opposed to going out again and again--emptying my wallet and filling my tummy with alcohol.  No good.  I work in the fitness industry and also do some modeling.  I work with great people and love what I do.  My very first job was as a papergirl.  :) I am a humble person who values what I do and who I a...

My success story began over 10 years when my mom got me a membership to Women's Workout World.  I loved the rush of endorphins as my body reacted to the cardio and resistance exercises I was doing.  The pounds began to come off and now I am 45 pounds lighter.  I have always practiced tough love on myself, wanting to do more than I did the time before. Afzy You are welcome ! Just stay strong and focus on the recovery, everything else will snap into place after. I trained legs on Tuesday . It was a high rep workout of squats , front squats , lunges, leg ext , Romanian deadlifts , leg curls. Ext and curls were done fst 7 . budman1073 Hi Megan, saw your pix and heard you had back surgery ugh!! :( I here where your coming from I too had it neck also. Just wanted to say hang in there do your PT and don't rush back you'll get back to where you were soon enough...It took me almost 2 mos. To get back in the gym and I'm back stronger and bigger then before I had surgery, you look great and you'll bounce right back if anybody knows it's you Muscle has memory...wish you a speedy recovery take care.......John Apr 2, 2012 3:56pm
