How I Started:
I worked out since my dad gave me an old bench with concrete weights that he used back in the "day". In high school, lifting was primarily for baseball and football. On day before my senior year, my friend gave me an issue of Flex that he had, and I read it front to back, cover-to-cover multiple times. I continued to play sports but the reasoning switched, I now played sports so I could go to the weight room.
Why I Love It:
I like trying to look my best and to always keep improving. I slip but the weight room is always there for me. It's a little consistency for a world in flux.
How I Stay Motivated:
I motivate myself and have sporadic competitions with one of my lifting buds.

powerlifting for now, want to go into bodybuilding in the next year or so once I have a larger base to work with.

Not anytime soon, Im coaching my high school's powerlifting team and working on getting in on the 100% RAW powerlifting meet in march and see where it goes from there. the site is finally up. check it out Benchnutrition.com
