miked512 You don't have to do that. The basics are the only things that work. I found that out after a year of training machines only (except for the bench press and curls. Did I even train legs?) and having gone from 135 to 145. LOL ... part of the lost years I say. And yeah, you're right. Loading up the weight and the low reps works like magic. Jan 13, 2013 11:14pm

miked512 Muhaha, your secret is safe with me. That's more creative than the overhead shoulder press, push press, and the occasional lateral raises and face pulls I usually tell people. It would have been better had you lied and said you superset arnold presses with cuban presses for 8 sets of 18. ;-) That would make people really jump on the bandwagon. Jan 13, 2013 10:09pm

miked512 My solution is usually to just do the training and cardio in the AM and call it a day. Or in the PM as today would have it. You're supposed to be irritable when you cut the carbs. That will pass though and you'll be almost normal. I think you just ticked me off about Krispy Kreme donuts. I haven't had any of those since I moved from Atlanta. Donuts here are alright but it makes dieting easier. You'll be able to enjoy the donuts with the shreddedness you want soon enough. Jan 7, 2013 11:14pm

miked512 Hah, man, I knew you'd enjoy it. Training for me is off to a slow start due to being sick last week but its been good since the weekend. I was almost doing what you're doing with the AM weights and PM cardio deal, but I know that will never happen the way I want it to so, I might just have to punish myself a bit. The lack of carbs kicks my ass too but that just comes with the territory. Jan 7, 2013 8:36am
