When I Started:
Dec, 2000
How I Started:
I was never a very athletic child, my parents were all about eating and sitting around. I also had a disabled hip when I was a teenager that left me pretty immobile. Once my hip got better, I took a job working at Whole Foods Market and started to learn all about healthy eating. I had never really learned about it before, but it all made sense to me. So I started eating much healthier and cleaner, and swimming and then weightlifting.
My weight over the past 8 years, although it has improved overall, has never stayed in one place for very long. My lowest was 122, but that was 17 pounds ago! Now I want to make real, lasting weight loss a reality for me. I also want to be strong, with a sold core and good posture, to help me with all I have to do in life.
Why I Love It:
I love the way I feel, the way I look afterwards, the sense of well-being, fitting into all of my clothes comfortably, not being self conscious.
How I Stay Motivated:
I workout with my husband, and fitness sites help, too. Although with school and work, as I am trying to be at the top of my class, my workout usually comes last. I need to make it a bigger priority.

So today I got the hubby and I to the gym for a body pump class.. basically, a ton of squats, a ton of lunges, shoulders, biceps, lats, chest, triceps, abs.. I think I covered all the bases. It's a fun class, CHALLENGING, but today I lifted a lot of weight! Also the movements are done in time...
My wife and I know where you are coming from & believe that you can make your fitness dreams come true, probably sooner than you think. My wife (bodyspace name: judimax) went from size 12/14 to 4/6 and I lost over 50 lb’s and went from 36% to 10% bodyfat by following the 12 week Body for Life program. Push yourself, possibly out of your comfort zone and you will be amazed at the results and they will be well worth the effort. Give either of us a yell if you wish.
Sorry i didnt get back to u on the spinning thing..i havent checked my email in awhile...spinning is a good workout...take it at your pace at first as far as tightening the tension..it really gets your heart rate up...but i love the burn!!
wow, a pound of bacon for breakfast. as a former (and still at heart) skinny guy, I have to say "My Hero" lol. Sounds like you miss him. take care of your mom.
