My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program

Maximizing workouts means doing compound movements

My Nutrition Program View My Full Nutrition Program

I absolutely love to cook, so it's generally easy for me to consume the right amount of protien, grains, and vegetables/fruits.

My go-to meal is 99% lean turkey with brown rice and some veggies thrown in. I try not to eat flour, desserts, or cheese as much as possible. I have found that cutting those items out of my diet has helped lose fat in any problem areas such as my stomach and legs.

In the morning I like to start off with protien so any of these depending what I got at the grocery store: eggs, low fat cottage cheese/fruit blend, banana, protein shake with skim milk, etc...

As far as meat goes I typically only consume turkey, chicken, and fish. I was a vegan/vegetarian about a year ago, it just wasn't the lifestyle for me.

I need to eat more green things but I have to say, I love putting some fresh garlic cloves in the oven and roasting it for about 20 mins then putting it with just about anything. Gotta love those antioxidants. For me, nutrition is an essential part of overall fitness. At one point I wanted to study dietetics and become a registered dietician...I changed my major now but it is always nice to teach myself and read articles that will ultimately help me gain lifelong healthy eating and cooking tips.

Whey, Vitamins, & L-Cartinine

Whey protein first thing in the morning, after a workout, and before bed.  Before workouts I take about 750 mg (3/4 TBS) for extra energy and I take Opti-Women multi vitamins, glucosamine, and fish oil.

I've tried Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard Whey

  • Double Rich Chocolate
  • Delicious Strawberry
  •  Cookies and Cream

I am currently using Muscle Pharm Combat Powder

  • Banana Cream

When my Combat Powder runs out I plan on trying a new brand of protein. I enjoy researching different supplement brands as well as trying new flavors.
