When I Started:
Mar, 2008
How I Started:
I basically got started working out in order to get healthy. I have a chronic digestive disorder which caused me to gain a lot of weight and I was literally sick of being sick. I decided to take action myself after 6 years of not getting any answers from doctors and it has been the best decision of my life.
Why I Love It:
I am on the road to being a completely healthy person and not living with an illness. I chose not to allow my digestive disorder completely control my life and working out lets me control my body. I get to transform and be in control of the way my body works and don't let anyone else (including doctors) dictate how I should live my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Being healthy. At the same time that I decided to change my lifestyle I was going through a really rough break-up. I've been through a lot with my digestive problems and have had to deal with what happened to my body because of it. People treat you differently if you are heavy...I hate to say that, but it's true. I was/am tired of being treated a different way based on my weight and decided that it was the last time that I would be hurt by someone I cared about because of it. I also decided that it was time to get healthy and start living instead of watching my life pass by while I was laying around sick all of the time.
BB Accomplishments:
So far I've lost sixty pounds and gone down quite a few dress sizes ( 3-4 depending on what type of pants I wear) although I'm not finished, I'm proud. I know at this point that the last thirty or so pounds is going to come off because I was able to lose sixty. I know that I am capable of losing the weight because I've accomplished it. The only thing now is to just keep going and I've fallen off the wagon a bit with the holidays, but decided to get even more serious than I was before and lose ALL of the weight...for good.

I want to lose a lot of fat and get down to about 5-8% body fat and gain/keep muscle I have. This will completely transform my body and I would also like to hopefully compete in a fitness contest someday.
