When I Started:
Nov, 2007
How I Started:
I was NEVER a fit person. I was thin- skinny fat is a better term. I didn't do sports, I didn't join aerobics classes, I only walked. As I grew older my tricks for losing weight no longer worked. I was gaining weight, losing energy, losing self esteem and becoming lethargic. I decided to change that and take control. I knew I needed help, but needed to find somewhere that would let me bring my son. Gyms and trainers are expensive, but i found a trainer that had a studio and would let me bring my son. I found that I really enjoyed going and becoming fit.
Why I Love It:
Training has become a part of my lilfestyle. It quite literally has changed my life for the better. I can have a very challenging day at work and not feel like going to the gym, but after I get there and start to sweat and feel the burn, my stress melts away, I get an instant high and life is great again. Training has become a journey of self discovery and has made me a better person. I am confident, strong and empowered; I can accomplish anything.
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation can be diffiuclt when the weather is bad, your child is complaining about having to go to the gym again and you had a tough day at work. I have picture on my fridge of my next goal, usually an image of someone who beat me or a pro figure model that I want to try to transform a body part to become. Most of my motivations come from my heart. You have to have the heart to see it through. You owe it to yourself to keep going. All day long you do for others...now its your time and get to teh gym!

Eat clean...lift more...train harder - lean the legs....:) DO WORK CREW
Goal (Long):
I have never been satisfied with second place. I believe in working hard at everything I do. I have been very blessed to have come so far in such a short period of time. But i am not done yet. I want to have the body I have always dreamed of and can be proud of anywhere I go. I want killer legs and a hamstring glute connection that rocks....
i think its the lunges that's got my knee hurting again. i really want to run but i might have to get surgery on my knee first.
anything else i can do that wont stress my knee? it seems like even the slightest weight hurts. i think its more the repetition of bending my knee that hurts it than the weight.
i like your body but would def not want to have any more muscle than you. i've been working on my core and arms/shoulders because i tore my acl in january and it didnt heal properly so i have to get it looked at again before i work on my legs cause it started hurting again... :(
ive been doing cable crunches and cable sidebends, bench crunches with a little weight, lots of dumbbell stuff. the gym here at my apt kinda sucks. when i get home to va though i'll have a real gym to go to :)
thanks :) i'm just starting to workout again and this time i want to do it right. a few winters ago i lost 20 lbs but i wasnt being very smart about it. i dont think i was getting enough calories and i was running a looot and not doing much weight training at all, just a little dumbbell stuff in front of the tv (haha). i have no idea where to start. i dont want to get super buff but i want to be fit and lean. any suggestions where to start?
Training is good, about the time I get frustrated something good happens and I'm right back at it! Putting on muscle is slow, but I'm being consistent...it's hard work and that's the bottom line! Thanks for the note, I do hope you have a really good week. Thanks for your great example and postive attitude!!
Word yea diet iz HUGE. So what doez your diet consist of? Or what scheme would you recommend for me? Here'z where I'm at right now: Not training at all except spinning and rehab. Currently eating high protein low carbz low fat. I just wannna maximize my lean mass while I'm not training. Thanx for the compliment az well :) . How iz your weekend going?? Jah bless
