I always had lifted for sports growing up. In 2004 I didn't like the way my body was headed so I decided to do something about it. I actually was watching Rambo II on TV and was blown away by Stallone's physique...especially at 40. I decided at that moment that's how I wanted to look. I want to be able to run and play with my kids when I'm 50. That was when I decided to join World Gym in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I met a trainer there that was in incredible shape and had just won the Mr. Idaho Natural Competition. He was and is to this day an inspiration to me. At that moment I started my quest for a ripped, lean, muscular physique. I honestly can't imagine living my life now without fitness being a major part of it...it's truly a love, passion, and obsession for me.
Why I Love It:
Getting a pump is a natural high for me and I love it. Feeling the pump and breaking a sweat makes my day complete. I love the sense of self-confidence it brings. If you can conquer your inner-self, you can conquer anything. Bodybuilding to me is the ultimate demonstration of self-discipline, drive, and motivation.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just do. I stay motivated cuz I see myself as inspiration for others. I've always said I'll never get so busy that I neglect my own training. It keeps me sane and the gym is an escape from everything for me. It's my place of therapy where I challenge myself and conquer my own psychological noise.
BB Accomplishments:
For me to have the body I have now is a major accomplishment. Growing up I was a hardgainer and found it difficult to pack on muscle. Through proper training and nutrition I've been able to overcome it. I think my biggest accomplishment will be when I'm fully satisfied with where my body is. Yet, at the same time then what next? I think that's the key...I know there's people out there just like me...I don't think I'll ever be satisfied...haha.
1st place 2009 NGA Grand Teton Invitational Men's Open Lightweight.
Hit 195 lb. and stayed around 8-9% just judging by the mirror...now time to trim it up. I figure over the next couple months I'll cut down to around 170-175 lb...should land me around 4-5%. If figure the 195 lb. is with some added water weight with my carbs as high as they've been and not being as strict with my diet...the goal was to grow and I was successful!

Well here it is 5 months after competing and things have been crazy. I thought I wanted to continue competing so I went on a massive bulk over the summer. Bulking during the summer isn't fun cuz I like to be lean during the summer but, oh well....ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Anyways I cut...
