How I Started:
i had always been a skinny kid and not very strong, however when i started travelling i had a poor diet, drank way too much and did very little exercise, plus i was smoking atleast a pack a day. i bloated out to around 240lbs and was incredibly unhealthy. at the time i was training to be a dive instructor but was in such poor health and since i spent all day on the beach with my shirt off, i became very self concious. when i moved to the dominican republic for work i began losing weight due to under eating and diving 5-6 times a day 7 days a week. i went down to 140lbs but still smoked and drank way too much and was very weak to the point that i was almost blacking out due to undereating. i finally decided to do something about my health in 2007 and gave up smoking, limited my drinking and began running every day. i ate better, but didnt have much knowledge on nutrition or weight lifting. i got a copy of mens health home workout, set of dumbells and the rest is history....
Why I Love It:
plug in the tunes, block out the distractions and LIFT....every other problem just falls away
How I Stay Motivated:
seeing the results both physically and mentally, and performing better in the sports i love
BB Accomplishments:
being able to surf for 2 weeks straight, 2-3 times a day for 2 hours at a time, no shortness of breath, no injuries, no aches or soreness...its a long way from not even making it up the stairs without pausing

Goal (Long):
Grow a well defined chest and back for that V-taper and burn off the excess body fat that is covering my abs. i also want good overall strength, endurance and balance to improve my surfing i am a SCUBA instructor and surfer so spend alot of time on the beach, although im not ashamed of my body and not embarresed by it im actually pretty proud of it, i just want that wow factor when i take my shirt off. i have 4 months before my next surf trip and want to look and feel my best and be able to surf twice a day every day without getting tired or missing waves.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 20 lb
