Overall Goal:  I've gone through a long period of not working out and eating right. I lost a lot of muscle. My goal is to see how much lean muscle I can put on even though I'm in my late 40's.

When I Started:
1973
How I Started:
I started becoming overweight around 10 years old. I remember being teased in the 4th grade by my teacher. It was really embarrassing. That same year I ask my parents for a weight set and bench. They got it for me for a Christmas present. Since then I've been dedicated to health and fitness and I've kept my weight under control.
Why I Love It:
It's a great feeling when you get to the gym and start working out. The endorphins get pumping and it makes me feel great both in the gym and even when I'm not. I've gone trough long periods of weeks and months not working out. So I can tell the difference. I know I feel much better when I'm getting in consistent workouts, eating right and taking my supplements.
How I Stay Motivated:
Now that I'm in my late 40's it is easy to stay motivated. All I have to do is look in the mirror and see all the bad things aging and my past bad habits have done to me. The older you get the more you have to stay motivated to get to the gym and watch your diet. When you're my age you need to try to get back or hold on to what little youth you got left.
BB Accomplishments:
I've never competed although I'm working on getting certified as a personal trainer.
