How I Started:
I started working out shortly after graduating from college, in 2000. A guy friend from work started showing me the ropes in the weight lifting room and got me motivated to work out more than I ever had before. However, as you can see and read on my profile I've always done it half ass. Funny thing is I love working out whether it's lifting, running, yoga, pilates, pretty much anything active. I just don't do it with the proper amount of consistency.

It makes all aspects of my life fall into place! Overall it just makes me feel good!

Goal (Long):
All my life I’ve struggled with my weight and never really pushed myself hard enough to achieve an above average physique. I've tried many programs and have always done them half ass, never completing or attaining the goals I originally set out to complete.
I want 2008 to be my year! I will be starting the BFL challenge Monday, January 21st 2008 and plan on putting 110% into it in hopes of winning in my category. I want to lose a minimum of 20lbs and attain overall 18% body fat. I plan on transforming my body into a sexy, lean, mean machine so this summer when I put on my bikini I can walk around the beach and pool, be proud of all my hard work, and confident about my body, a feeling I have never had. I look to everyone on this site for additional motivation, tips and advice. Lord knows I’ll need it throughout the next 12wks! Also to look like Marisa Miller from Victoria's Secret!!
First Blog 4th day of BFL....so far things are going good! Having a hard time with the eating part though, getting 5 - 6 clean meals in is hard. I'm not super super strict with my food right now but as I get farther into the 12 wks I'll have to buckle up and eat cleaner. I bought the 'Eating...

Hi BFL4ME you are looking good just hang in there,it also been hard for me to keep my workouts up ,because of my job.I 've been putting alot of hours at the jail ,and then coming home to workout aswell.Good luck in your BFL Challenge.Stay safe.
Wow, you sound like me. I also love the workouts and the way I feel, I just seem to lack solid consistency. I am also a BFL challenger, my start date was 01/14/08. 84 days is a long time, but we can do it. I can't wait to see your "after" photos. I think you look good in your "before" pics. I am a Body for Life devotee as is my wife (bodyspace name: judimax.) We both had good results from that program and I was judged 10th overall in the 2007 Canadian Body for Life Challenge.
