I originally started lifting weights while selling memberships at a gym. I was around people that lifted seriously and competed. Lenda Murray came to the gym I was working at in California and I was absolutely amazed at how developed a womans' muscles could be! After ten years of lifting and 2 kids past pre school age, I finally made the time for myself to compete. I started my own personal training business and I get so much satisfaction out of teaching others how to achieve their goals. I like to be a positive role model for my two girls and my clients.
Why I Love It:
I love bodybuilding because it gives me confidence, makes me stronger, and I see results quickly! I love changing my workouts and constantly challenging myself. Bodybuilding is like my religion and it keeps me focused in all aspects of my life. It is also a great stress relief.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have no problem staying motivated to exercise. Right now I am very motivated because I will be competing at the National level for the first time.
BB Accomplishments:
My first competition, the NPC Heartland Natural Classic I placed 1st in Masters, Open Middleweight and took the overall Novice. 3 weeks later I received pro status through the NANBF winning the overall at the Ms/Mr. Natural Minnesota.
