Overall Goal: I need to lose 20-25Lbs, be toned and muscular and compete in my first fitness and figure competition.
Fit Status:
My body fat has considerably dropped! The scale does not reflect it that much but I can say that my dedication to the gym is paying me off !
I decided to change my life after refusing to lament on me being fat for the rest of my lives. I have read so many inspirational stories and decided if they could make it, I can make it too.
Why I Love It:
So far, the idea of reaching my goals makes get up and head for the gym. Working out also helps me relieve from all my daily stress and gives me the strenght to go through a day.
How I Stay Motivated:
I want to be fit. I have a picture of Serana Williams as my computer screen because I like her physique and I think that she is very athletic! I also have inspirational phrases posted on the walls of my room to remind me my goals.
I need to lose 20-25Lbs, be toned and muscular and compete in my first fitness and figure competition.
Goal (Long):
All my life, I have been overweight and the excuse I had for it was that I had a "fat" blood.Because I have a twin sister, people could differentiate between us because I was fatter and with time, was known as the fat twin. Though I did not like the connotation, I started using it myself to reduce the emotional effects it had on me. Last summer, I fainted for no valid medical reason on my way to school at a train station in Manhattan. The doctor that took care of me, advised to loose weight because of my high BMI and one of the nurses made fun of my weight. On that day, I decided to change. However, I did not know how to start and what to do. I tried some extreme diets that helped me shed 10Lbs that I gained immediately. I remembered that I had opened an account on Bodybuilding.com when I purchase P90X which I seldom and decided to make good use of it now. My goals are set. I want to be healthier, I want to have a better image of myself, I want to be fit! It is now or never!!!!!!
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 30 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
10%
Upcoming Contest:
2010 INBF Northern States Super Natural American & Canadian Challenge

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
Well I do not live with my family. However, fitness is changing my relationship for the better, especially sexually lol. The point is it relieves me from stress that I used to take down on my partner.
It's been 5-weeks now I can not believe it! During these weeks I have made some considerable changes in my lifestyle. The gym has become my optimum friend and partner with which I developed a love and hate relationship. I am seeing my body changing bit by bit. I am seeing more definition in...
We all have rough patches that we go through and if we keep pushing towards our goals we usually end up stronger for the experience. Remember: "At first so many of your dreams seem impossible, then they just seem improbable, and then, through your hard work, they soon become inevitable."
You are looking good and are on your way and I believe that with your determination you will achieve all your fitness goals. I look forward to watching your continuing progress. Stay strong, focused and determined and may God bless. Remember: “God didn't promise you a day without pain, laughter without sorrow or sun without rain. But He did promise you strength for the day, comfort for your tears and a light for your way.”

sugar cravings are tough huh? Us in Team Poynter are great fans of the protein pudding. All you need is a scoop of optimum's Nitro Core 24 protein powder, 1 tbsp of natural PB and water. Then get it to as thick as you want it, pop it in the freezer for 20-30 minutes then eat it up. I liked using either the toffee caramel fudge flavor powder or strawberry and chocolate flavors mixed together. ;)
I would say, take them mid day. Your metabolism is already rolling when you first wake up, and it spikes after you’ve been up for about 6-8 hours. So that’s a good time to take them 6-8 hours after you wake up. And try to take them the same time each day.
Thank you for adding me as a friend. Good luck to you in accomplishing all your health and fitness goals. Take care and I hope the rest of your day goes well.
