I started back in the 70's when I flipped off the wrong person. I was a big kid at 12 years of age, weighing 185lbs at 5'6". Thought I was being cool and flipped off a teacher, the problem was he was 6'2" 260lbs and a former power lifting champ. back in the day. He grabbed me a carried me out the room like I was rag doll. (the dude had horse power) Thought I was going to die and really I kind of deserved the scare, but instead of killing me, I became his lifting parner. By the age of 14, I had a good bench of 365lbs at 175lbs. From there I was part of a Bodybuilding club in high school where we worked mostly on heavy bent over rows, bench and curls. Not really balanced but better then most. We didn't understand diet and nutrition.
After school I continued to train in distance running, swimming and biking. Basically triathalon work before it was really popular. I then moved on to martial arts for several years.
After I got out of kicking and throwing things..or people, I went back to bodybuilding with a more well rounded routine. I figured out balance for myself.
Why I Love It:
I find I love the feeling of training and pushing myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
Never understoud why, just know that I am and always have been.
Hey is the Tukwilla Fire Dept. hiring right now? I have a friend who has a 4 year degree and her father is a firefighter in Woodenville but she is having a hard time getting a job. She is the most amazing female ever! She is more motivated than I am with everything. I am going into Army Special Forces and well I think she would make it over me lol. I am surprised she has not got hired from anyone yet.
Thanks for the add brother...I'm recovering from having two vertebrae fused in my neck...it was either that or find a new job....and I don't want that!!! It's going great so far!
Glad to hear it, I just hoped he would have been dealt with to avoid court and taxpayers money if you know what I mean. Be safe bro and don't work hard.
My apologies, it is hard, and especially when you worry about your children getting into the dangerous jobs we have. You be safe. Man your back is tight.
Man i thought all kids wanted to be firefighters when they are grow up, tell him to pursue other options your job is like mine stressful and little pay. lol
Yeah we competed in a five man scramble for S.W.A.T. years ago but they don't seem to have many competetions for L.E. as much as they did when I first started.
