My friend dragged me out on the university's track team as a runner. After holding up track meets waiting for me to finish, my coach kindly asked me if I wanted to try discus and javelin. Welcome to weight lifting!
Why I Love It:
I love going to the gym because it's the only place where I think of absolutely NOTHING else; not work; not kids; not boyfriend. It's my zen.
How I Stay Motivated:
Fear of gravity
BB Accomplishments:
Stepping out on stage for the first time back in 2003 as a 43 year old figure competitor competing with women half my age and actually bringing home a trophy! First time in my life I've ever won anything!

When I saw her picture in an add for Bodyspace.com in my Muscle and Fitness mag and then saw her age....well I'm no spring chicken either, and here was yet another example of how age is not an excuse for being a couch potato. Read her blogs and you'll discover that she has a wonderful outlook on life and training and comes across a a very real, down-to-earth woman. Plus I want my legs to look like hers when I grow-up!
Mary works her butt off to look fantastic, NATURALLY! She's an example of what a female bodybuilder should look like and has the ability to show the world that muscle is beautiful. She's an incredibly smart and kind person.
Muscle and Fitness and Oxygen Mag have a TON of them.

What is your favorite "healthy" dessert? Give the recipe if applicable.
Protein pudding.
2 small boxes Jello sugar free, fat free pudding (any flavor)
Fat-free milk (according to box recipe)
2 scoops Flavorless, protein powder, "AnyWhey" I think is one
Follow directions on the box and pour into small portions Gladware cups. Makes about 6 4oz. servingsProtein pudding.

I dated these so they would read in order from the beginning of the story to the current "end" So you need to read down, not up to see things in order. Are you totally confused now?
Continue on with your road to recovery from your hip replacement! It is a journey as all in life truly is. You will be just great on the other side of this too!
Thank you Anne, coming from you that is the ultimate compliment! I'm really like the 5th kid in the household, my 11 yr old daughter runs the show and keeps all us boys in check :)
