I have been lifting weights on and off since seventh grade. I did it in seventh grade, then in Korea for a few months, also for a few months in 97. I want to start in a couple days now in my room.
Why I Love It:
I feel good and look sexy. Plus it will make me live longer and prevent injuries.
How I Stay Motivated:
I had a gym membership but that didn't work, so yesterday I bought a bench and 25 pound dumb bells. I also have 45 pound dumb bells. With that basic equipment I plan on staying motivated merely by having the equipment in my presence at all times. I will also put a pullup bar in my room. I think I will video my workouts with my webcam (no sound)to keep track of my progress and share my home gym idea with others. I want to compare myself with girls who are bigger, bigger and stronger, and stronger than me. I figure if I see a hot girl way younger or way older and bigger and stronger than me I will be motivated to try to get at least to her level. Once I start getting in really good shape I will start comparing myself to some of the men on this site, but not the huge guys, I don't have that kind of build. I also want to start going on big bike rides and runs, and so I want to stay light enough to be able to effectively do that.
BB Accomplishments:
Right now I would have to say it's benching 190 off the couch. I remember ten years ago before I grew a belly I could do 20 pullups no problem, now all I can do is 15.
- Last September I rode the "Grand Loop". 200 miles over 3 passes at about 30,000 feet elevation change in 19 hours(with a 45 minute lunch break). That was my second ride in nine months.

Description: 15 pullups, 10 standing military 45s, 20 curls w/ 25s, 15 presses w/ 45s, 10 rows w/ 45's, then 10 more. I thought I could do more than 15 pullups. You get week when you get old if you don't workout!
Kyle's Gym - 2-2
Played: 41
Description: I ran 4 miles right before this. First run in like 15 years. I felt like I was running on Jupiter w/ an elephant on my chest but I had the warrior spirit and that's all that matters. 10 curls w/ 45's, 5 pullups, 15 presses w/ 45's, 10 rows w/ 45's twice, 15 standing flys w/ 8's. I'm noticing my right arm is stronger than my left which is weird because I'm left handed.
Kyle's Gym - 3-3
Played: 24
Description: 15 situps w/ 25's, 10 w/ 0's, 10 lying flys w/ 25's, 15 upright rows w/ 25's, 15 one arm in clats w/ 25's. Those squats are harder than they look, I think it was cause I just did so many situps.
thanks for the nice comment!
