When I Started:
Sep, 2008
How I Started:
I got into a 12 week challenge through the gym I was going to, I started at 86kg and 36% body fat and in 12 weeks I dropped down to 79kg and 16% body fat. Ever since the fitness has been my life. The love of my life (my beautiful girlfriend) is a personal trainer and a MAJOR inspiration in my fitness life and a main source of help and knowledge too.
Why I Love It:
The rush of endorphins you get when you see all the blood in your muscles, the DOMS you get the next 2 days after a massive workout and the way people look at you and come up to you asking what juice you're on when all the work you do it ALL NATURAL, yet people still believe you can't do it without "roids"
How I Stay Motivated:
My Girlfriend (she is the main source of my motivation, she is my world), people I know throughout the gym, but more importantly the way I feel about myself, how good I feel afterwards and how S!@T I feel without working out
BB Accomplishments:
Well, it's not a MAJOR accomplishment, but the first thing I have won was the state championships for the Horley's 12 Week Challenge

What are your secrets for making healthy food taste great?
Great to hear from you mate and sounds like you have been hell busy! Injury has passed but still takin it slow. Definetly catch up and soooo jelous about Broome!
Hey Kurt, just wanted to check in and say I did Fight Gone Bad yesterday, and it kicked my butt. I got 315 reps, and even though it only lasts 17 mins., it was absolute hell...but I look forward to doin' it again:)
I've done Fight Gone Bad a few times now, and I've have to say that it is one of the hardest, but one of my favourites. We do FGB around Christmas at my gym, where we get donations to raise money for charities...I think we raised over $20,000 last year, and we're looking to double it this year.
Thanks big K, really appreciate your feedback and support. Injury is on the mend but keeping some weights light until the injury storm passes. Looks like you will be beastin it up even more and you already are looking hell solid. Have you ever competed before?
Our 'Murph' got pushed back a bit, and I'm looking to get one of the 9 kg vests here soon. I'll definitely check out that website too...I'm looking at changing up some of my older routines here, so it sounds like it could be a good fit. I see you're gonna be competing in May...that's awesome!! Keep me posted with how your training is going.
Sounds like you have been hell busy and good luck with the comp - keep us posted on your progress and sound like you are firing. My training has hit a slight snag as I have a tricep injury but have managed to break 80kg last week (+8.5kg of lean mass since April).
Hey Kurt, just wanted to see how your training's been going lately. A few of us at our gym are setting up a day and to do 'Murph'. I haven't done this one yet, but it sounds like a killer.
It was my first attempt at "Linda" today, and my deadlifts killed me with this one. Glad I tried it, but it'll probably be a while 'til I try that one again...gonna be sore for the next couple of days for sure.
How's the CrossFit been treating you down there, Kurt? I'm starting to think you guys are even more nuts than we are with our workouts. Whatever the case is, it's definitely working for you bro...keep it up!!
Thanks! Dude, that sounds like a killer workout...I might have to try that one myself sometime. I did one yesterday where it was 2 rounds of 20 front squats, 20 sumo deadlifts, 20 push press, and 100 skips; all lifts with 95 lbs. I thought it was tough, until I read your workout. Keep up the great work bro!!
Bad news, gotta wait till Monday for crossfit (or maybe tomoz but have boxing on and have not decided) as they have cancelled Sun class - bumma! Keep me posted on the your progress and have a great weekend.
Mate, that sounds intense! Any health food store sells it and Natural Health one costs about $48 smackers (150g). You can also buy it on the net sites but don't like to spend $$ on freight.
