How I Started:
Its always been something I've wanted to do but never dedicated enough to it. Now that I'm past my 30th birthday I have had a renewed drive and motivation to seize what I want now instead of always putting it off.
Why I Love It:
I was always the skinny nerdy kid in high school. At first I just wanted to fill out and look better, but as I'm progressing I realize I love the way my body feels, I have a lot more energy and that helps push me at work to do more in other non-bodybuliding areas. I also like the increase in self-confidence and feeling of accomplishment.
How I Stay Motivated:
By seeing others who are at a higher level than me. What really clicked in my head is if they can do it I can do it. And when I feel like quitting I look at them and remind myself that they didn't quit either.
BB Accomplishments:
A couple years ago I had let myself go and was about 200lbs... not muscle either. I'm thrilled at getting all of the fat off. Now I'd like to pack on about 15 pounds of mass.

Where it began Upper Bod - 183 lbs
taken before my first "official" workout and plan to get in shape. I was 176 pounds with bodyfat around 21 or 22%
Had a plateau hit - but energized to push past it. Really focusing on my protein intake now

My body has been remarkably stubborn and the only time in the past I have seen results was when I was being pushed by my drill instructor in the military (12 years ago). I just reached my 31st birthday and I have a renewed commitment to get off of my rear end and get it done. If I want it I can achieve it and I have started to really push myself in all aspects of my life. Call it a "quarter-life crisis" or whatever, but I'm done with just coasting by. I want a body I can be proud of. I want the self confidence that comes with it.
