How I Started:
Summer before sophomore year in high school and I'm old enough to step into the YMCA weight room.
Why I Love It:
It's a good stress relief after a long day's work. And I feel good looking at and admiring the result of days, weeks, months of training.
How I Stay Motivated:
Well, it feels good to look good. I love it when my ACUs fill-out. I like the tight feel of blood flowing through my muscles. I like maxing my push-ups and sit-ups like they're nothing.

I want to lose fat and gain 20 clean pounds of muscle.
Goal (Long):
- Reach 180lbs with ~10% BF
- Do 80 push-ups in 2 minutes, 80 sit-ups in 2 minutes, and a 14:00 2-mile run
- See my abs, maintain 32-inch waist
- Bench 200 lbs 15 reps 4 sets
- Squat 300 lbs 15 reps 4 sets
- Deadlift 225 lbs 15 reps 4 sets
- Do 30 pullups without stopping
- Add 20 lbs of resistance to my dips
- Establish a protein-heavy eating plan that is easy to follow and maintain
Good to hear from you. Wasn't sure what was going on. I've been staying with my plan all these months. Chinups and dips rule. Don't do much for the wheels though. Keep after it.
Hey, I thought about diet soft drinks, but I'm trying to see if cutting out all soft drinks makes more since when taking creatin. Don't fall for my pity party it's not really so bad. I've gained around 10 lbs from my lean days, and I'm thinking its water weight. It's hard to read your body, when changes take a month or so. See ya later.

Hey, don't worry to much about the handles, your trying to gain wt right. Just eat good and when you get to your size you want trim up. I am working on my lower abs, I got a new weapon for my assault - leg lifts. I hate leg lifts. I would concentrate on your studies, lifting is lots easier and can eat up valuable study time. You usually don't put how much you can bench on a resume. Good to hear from you, bodybuilder soon to be officer.
Hey John, I dropped 13 lbs and most all of my measurements dropped, except calves. I wanted to drop the weight, just to see if I could. If the drop was muscle mass, I'm gonna be bummed.
Gotta get to the gym and see if I can lift what I have been. Hope things are going your way. Not sure on my end.
