When I Started:

How I Started:
underweight and skinny after High school. Fast metabolism slowed down later in life. I run a business and I am a single Dad of two fantastic kids. Because of my busy schedule (I know an excuse) I neglected my body. When I started working out again I was fat, slow and tired. :(
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of being in great shape. It really pumps up your positive energy and outlook on life/work. Creating better health, looking good and making your God given body it's best is a worthy goal.
How I Stay Motivated:
Look in the mirror. Gotta get to the gym! :)<p> Looking at some of these awesome profiles on here and muscle mags help too!
BB Accomplishments:
seeing abs a bit, building muscle, feeling better.

Doing great.. Kinda:). We've been on some adventures over the past month, did a TV show (crash course), went to Hawaii, got in a nasty car crash... Got to keep life exciting, right?? I am just trying to get healed up in time for the upcoming Ironman in October. When are you stepping onstage??
Wow Darin, what an honor... dont know if I am deserving, but I damn sure try hard like we all do:) I am like you in that we both know that our 40's can (and will) be the best, healthiest years of our lives. Heck, lets just extend that into our 50's!! Thanks for the honor Darin, means a lot.
Hey Darin, I would be honored to have you as a friend. We over 40 Northwesterners have to stick together after all, right?? :) Appreciate the kind words, take a look in the mirror though... you made some awesome progress in a short time! Keep up the good work, you are a great role model to your kids and are shaping their fitness futures:)
