How I Started:
I ran SWOSSA for 2 years in High School. Began running again in 2000, doing 5 miles 5 days a wk. after work. I was injured in 2003 at work and took off a couple years. I have returned to a 4 day training schedule, 3 days on weights and run 5 miles 2 days a wk, bike 16 miles 4 days/wk.
Why I Love It:
Competing in 5-10 mile races spring 2009. Triathlon fall 2009. Also if you are a female from the Windsor area and interested in training or need help losing weight contact me !
How I Stay Motivated:
Congestive heart failure runs in my family. I have ZERO tolerance for lazy people. If the outside of your house looks like that. It tells me not only what the inside looks like; but how much respect you have for yourself!
BB Accomplishments:
Able to run 24.3k and bike 30k. Managing pain after the scars of a left broken foot and tendonitis/carpel tunnel injury of the left wrist/arm.
Hi there! Sorry it's taken so long to reply! The battle goes, I guess! It's hard as summer and beer go hand in hand but training is good and my eating habits are ok as well! Thank you!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my profile & share your words. I've traveled the journey so I'm happy to inspire others-keep training hard!!
Hi There - I'm a big fan of BW exercises for warm-ups. I do prisoner squats, stick-ups, kneeling push-ups, mt. climbers, jumping jacks, and spiderman climbs in my warm-ups. When I lead kickboxing classes, I do this type of stuff plus some shadow kicking and punching before taking it to the bag. Oh, I also jump rope using different forms of jumping. Hope this helps give you some new ideas.
What does your boxing training look like?
The battle is going ok! Thanks!
Be better when I can get back into the gym. I have a sprained thumb and a bad cold right now! Good luck to you as well!
