I grew up with very active parents. My mom taught fitness classes at a gym and my dad would come home from work every night and run for an hour or so then lift weights in the basement. I have always been active and in good shape because of my FANTASTIC role models but just recently I've decided that I really admire women with that lean, athletic figure so I finally decided to pursue one for myself. Maybe one day I'll enter a competition...but for now I just need to prove to myself that I can reach my goal and maintain it.
Why I Love It:
I love muscle anatomy. I think muscle tissue is beautiful the way its so sculpted and powerful. I feel so strong and alive when I watch them working.
How I Stay Motivated:
Once it becomes your lifestyle you don't really need motivation. Although it ALWAYS helps to constantly seek self improvement. Progress pictures are key! Hate where you've come from and love where you're going! :)

ChickenTuna's like zen master of clean eating. I hope to keep working up to that level of discipline! I love her website rants and I especially like how she points out that boring food = exciting body. This has become my self brainwashing sentence. Whenever I am having trouble committing to clean eating I go read through he website again:)
An astounding transformation! I wish more women would work hard to get their bodies back after pregnancy instead of using it as an excuse to be fat for the rest of their lives. I feel especially inspired by beautifulgrace because I think we have a similar body type and her progress photos help me to envision myself getting to that point.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
They simply don't understand my drive to be the best I can be. I often get more negative comments on my appearance/eating habits from my family than anything else. It's kind of crushing, actually.
i just figured out that i've been using a bf calculator geared towards men!!! arrrg! this screws up all of my results and is a little bit of a blow to my self esteem. i've had to go back and re-plug in all my numbers since last january and it turns out I never dropped below 15%. its frustrating....
hey! how are you? Would you mind helping me out and voting for me to become the bodyspace spokesmodel!? Would mean a lot!! http://www.bodybuilding.com/20 10-bodyspace-spokesmodel-searc h-women.htm
I'm still on the EFD plan tho I've had my workouts switched up a few times since finishing the original plan. I'm actually eating a little more right now, trying to gain some lean mass so my carb intake is a little higher than it was over the summer but other than that its pretty much the same!
Well I hope you look into one. I think you would do really well! Jeff Taylor puts on some good shows. Maybe there will be one by you in the near future
