The first time around, I needed to lose post-baby weight - A LOT of it! I lost 55 pounds in 6 months. That was in 2000. I can honestly say that my rear end is the only part that really forgot that we were fit not so long ago.
Why I Love It:
I'm 35, and I love going out and seeing women much younger than me who are flabbier in the stomach area, and I've had 3 kids!
How I Stay Motivated:
I like being able to wear tank tops that show my 'guns' and my flat stomach. My husband has come around to my way of thinking, and now we're a 'hot', into fitness couple.
BB Accomplishments:
When I first began bodybuilding in 1996, I weighed 116. Six months later, I had only lost 6 pounds, but it was 6 pounds of fat. I was in a size 9 jeans, and after the 6 pound loss, was in a size 3. I did 45 min of cardio and 45 min of weight training at least 5 days a week to get there, but it was soooo worth it.
This pic inspired me to completely change my routine as well as increase the weight on almost every exercise with the goal of increasing visual definition.
2 weeks after starting new routine... not too much different yet
APRIL 2008 - New goal: I want to increase strength all over and increase lower body definition.
Goal (Long):
APRIL 2008 Started training in February for a fitness instructor position - weight training with a barbell and plates to remixed hot music. Teaching my first class this week. Progress is gradual and consistent. Still want to gain strength and improve visual muscle definition.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 5 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
15%

What tricep workout has worked best for you?
The exercise that affects my day-after achiness is the arm extension Cybex machine exercise. I recently added this one, and prior to the addition had not really felt soreness in this muscle group from kickbacks, dips, or cable press downs. The exercise that affects my day-after achiness is the arm extension Cybex machine exercise. What bicep workout has worked best for you?
I have made the most progress doing dumbbell curls using one count for the positive and two counts on the negative, pausing when my arm is parallel to the floor.
