How I Started:
Started working out with a buddy of mine...I began working as a Deputy Sheriff and at only 5'8" and 135 pds... I decided I better do something because it could one day be a matter of life or death...
Why I Love It:
I love working out because its my time....and no matter what is going on in life....when you are in the gym...thats your only concern is making sure that weight keeps adding up and you can keep on pushing yourself more and more...nothing but you and the iron...and some music...
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by many reasons....
1. my job...inmates are always working out I would be a fool to not stay in shape as well...
2. Bodybuilding.com , seeing other members progress and go thru challenges and plateaus helps to keep me thinking I can overcome these problems as well...
3. Reading magazines and knowing that Im building a better physique that will in return help me to stay healthy...
4. I am a christian and I want to build the body that was created to the best of its ability...

Goal (Long):
My current goals are to recover from this hernia surgery. Also when i first started working out in Aug. of 2007 was the first time I had ever picked up a weight in my life. Since Aug. of 2007 I have gained about 50 - 53 pounds...I was 134 pounds when I first began lifting. I am currently around 180-185 pds. I owe alot of my learning about the body and lifting to bodybuilding.com and its members....
just wanted to tell ya man you seem to have your stuff together when it comes to working out n everything...n let ya know you inspire me...keep up the good work man...maybe some day a little guy like me can catch up...lol
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you in your career?
It has helped me in my career as a law enforcement officer in many ways. The two main ways is to help me learn more control over myself. How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
I believe it has helped. I dont seem to get as mad as I used to. I think this is because I go to the gym and thats my time to just let everything go. Also has helped because I dont drink near as much as I used to, because I dont want a high body fat percentage and the bad health that comes long term with alot of drinking. By me not drinking as much I dont care to go out as much which helps my home life some.I believe it has helped. I dont seem to get as mad as I used to. So I have been working out for about 2 years now...when I first started working out I weighed only 135 pounds. That was in Aug. of 2007. I currently weigh 183 pounds....(Oct. 2009). I want to gain about another 20 pounds of muscle....I want to stay as lean as possible...hoping for around...
