When I Started:
Feb, 2005
How I Started:
I never was active while growing up and in my high school years. When I was 13 I began eating "healthy" to lose my child-chubbiness. I didn't understand proper nutrition, but I had my ups and downs with weight. My junior year of high school I was fat, but then lost weight through diet-only my senior year of high school...down to 115 lbs (but I was skinny-fat). I gained a lot of weight during my freshman year of college. I began working out for the first time in my life but did not understand how the whole exercise & nutrition thing worked. Over the past few years I have become addicted to working out! Only more recently have I become more knowledgable about the proper nutrition for fat loss. I have evolved a lot and figured out what works and what doesn't work! I'm a work in progress, but aren't we all?!
Why I Love It:
Working out makes me feel SO GREAT!! I love the way my body looks when I am regularly working out and I have a lot more self confidence. The whole self-discpline thing is so important to me. When I let myself slack off and be lazy, my whole world seems to collapse somewhat. A lot of you can relate, I am sure!! By staying on track and taking care of my body through nutrition and exercise, this is the way I feel good about who I am and what I have accomplished.
How I Stay Motivated:
I always want to look good, so as soon as my pants are getting a little tight, I know that I'm not meeting my potential.
Another way to stay motivated to to look at pictures of women with really great bodies and remind myself that I took can look like that. BB.com helps with that!
Also: getting compliments is a WONDERFUL way to stay motivated!
BB Accomplishments:
Mainly I feel good that I have worked hard day in and day out to be decicated to a healthy life. I hope to one day compete in a figure competition. When I will do that...I don't know yet. We will see!

This was spring break of 2005 (my freshman year of college). EWWW!!!
Sorry about the messy room....only a few weeks until I'll be moving YET AGAIN...
I want to meet my true potential! I am working hard to gain muscle while trying to cut fat. I really want to look toned and lean. My wedding is July 26, so that is also a motivator...a week on the beach in Cancun!
I don't know why, but I feel tired today. I'm a bit sore in my legs and butt, but I'm not sure why either. Tuesday was legs day....maybe I'm just still sore from then. I need to get going to the gym here in a bit. Today is upper body + cardio day.
I've recently begun following the Body-for-Life program for strength training. I'm really liking the results. I am seeing increases in strength! I haven't been doing the 20-minute 3-times-per week cardio, but 6-day per week 45-60 minutes of cardio. 20 minutes is not enough for...
You can still exercise but the frustrating part is that you are still going to gain quite a bit of weight so it almost seems pointless. Congrats, in advance, on your certification. I just got certified through ISSA. I want to, eventually, get an actual degree in health and fitness.
hey whats up hows training, just posted brand new progress pics and vids and a new blog and i would love some feedback, check em out and please let me know what you think
