When I Started:
Oct, 2003
How I Started:
I started lifting when i was a freshman in high school. many of my friends were seniors that always spent time in the weight room after school. They took me under their wing and taught me what they knew. It was great for me because i was always involved in extra curricular activities. So body building was only going to improve my performance. Once i started, I became immediately hooked.
Why I Love It:
I've been doing Martial Arts for years now. And I'm sure everyone knows that it takes a lot of discipline focus and consistency. Discipline to push even when it feels you cannot. Focus, on your goals the task at hand. Consistency to create the habit and results.
The same with body building. I love the correlation it has to my current profession. It takes discpline to wake up every morning at 5 to do cardio, even when your mind says no. It takes focus when pushing heavy weight and your body is feeling fatigued. And it takes consistency with your training to achieve the ideal body that you desire.
That is why i love it.
How I Stay Motivated:
Being a certified Martial Arts Instructor, in Tae Kwon Do and Krav Maga, it is my job to make sure my students are getting adequate fitness training. And it would be difficult for them to accept what i say about a healthier life if i myself didn't appear to be in good shape. So they keep me motivated and accountable.

Why I like this video: Pauline understands that being fit is a lifestyle choice and she has the discipline. She stays lean 365 days a year and doesn't even compete as much anymore. She does it only to be stronger and better than her last session. Now thats something i admire.
Pauline Nordin pin rolling

Why I like this video: First time i tried this it was very painful, but now its almost like a massage. It definitely hits all the right spots
