I needed to loose weight, was 260 in high school. Had early signs of Type 2 Diabetes and was unhappy with my future outcome at 19.
Why I Love It:
I love the strength advancements. Move some many heavy objects around the house and out during the weekends. Makes life that much easier.
I have a passion for health and life everyday committed to better health.
How I Stay Motivated:
I know what my body can do and love knowing that. I stay motivated by increasing what I lift every so often to advance.
Knowing where I came from and knowing what my future holds true.
BB Accomplishments:
Loosing 85 lbs. Becoming the guy I used to admire at the gym who lifts a lot of weight.
Planking 115 lbs for around 2.5 minutes total.
Bigger guys call me crazy in the gym.
I've been called the guy with no end, that I keep going like the Energizer bunny.

I train for 8-10 reps and 3-4 sets. I like to hit at least 40 total reps for good size and strength ratio.
More reps means more stamina and more size, lower reps means less stamina, but more sheer power.I train for 8-10 reps and 3-4 sets. I like to hit at least 40 total reps for good size and strength ratio.

What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
Bench Press. I have a rotator cuff problem where my shoulder likes to slip. So I like to avoid flat bar bench press.
My weighted planks. Weighted pushups.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
When cutting, there is only a 30 second rest period to keep heart rate up.
When lifting for strength/size I rest 2-3 minutes to get full strength for next set.
So many people are under the believe or assumption that Type 2 Diabetes is easy to over come. If this were true, why do we still have approximately 15 million Americans with this disease?
So believe it is based on obesity, that every "fat" person will contract this disease. This...
Thanks Colby for you're recent comments on my page. I really appreciate it. If you're interested I started my workout tracker complete with daily food intake so anyone interested can see how I prepare for my Oct 4th contest. Check it out if ya get a chance.
Train your ass off and work on getting stronger. No magic, just lots of clean eating and lots of heavy lifting.
You must not be doing one of those if you ain't getting results.
When I started lifting at my fattest, I couldn't bench 100lbs or squat 135. When I was down to 186lbs, I couldn't bench 185lbs or squat 225. It's been a hell of a battle since then. All I can tell you is to do work.
I used to have no problem with them when i weighed 165. even did weighted ones... now after all this fat gain and not working out its a different boat :)
Also noticed today trying to do parallel dips that the middle of my chest has a sharp pain.
Guess stuff I just have to deal with intill I get back into shape.
