When I Started:
Jan, 2006
How I Started:
I've always envied the Vic Secret models, wishing i could like like one of them... my ex bf was very into bodybuilding and personal training and when we met he ended up dragging me to the gym and putting me on a schedule... after a while when i wouldn't go to the gym for a week or two I would start to feel withdrawal symptoms and needed to go back... i got addicted.
Why I Love It:
keeps me healthy, drives me to do better in everything... and it lets me get my anger and frustration from the day out on the weights and the cardio...
How I Stay Motivated:
I try to think that in the long run the results will be there even though I'm a now type of person... and I check out pics of people who's bodies I wish I had!
BB Accomplishments:
So far I've lost 15lbs over the span of a year and have begun to tone myself but I never really got serious about my diet or supplements till recently which is why I made this space. I'm hoping to get serious about my diet for my health as well as my body image and self confidence. I'm just surprised at myself that i was able to get up at 5am for 10mths straight to make it to the gym during a certain period of time bc of classes
Get down to 135lbs around 12-15% bodyfat with a toned upper body and abs and targeting my legs the most.
Goal (Long):
I want to attain my life goal of 130-135lbs year round without change. I also want to be around 12-15% bodyfat.
I'm looking to have a toned upper body (biceps, triceps, shoulders and back) with a killer lower body (abs, lower back, butt, and legs: mainly upper legs). I want to have tight abs, not necessarily a six pac, and a strong lower back since I have lower back probs. I have always struggled with my legs and have always wanted them slim even though realistically they're probably athletic legs and will never be as thin as I want them to be. I want to have my legs be all muscle to a point where you can see the quads and hamstrings working when you walk. A nice tight butt would work well with that as well.
My upper body tones up pretty fast and isn't a problem for me. If I work diligently and consistently I can have my upper body toned in about 5 weeks time. Its my lower body that's been posing probs for me so any advice anyone has on how to tone that up I would greatly appreciate it.
I have started swimming again so that should help overall, I started seeing results but stopped due to lack of pool at home so I can't wait to get back to it end of August 2007 at school. I'll lift about 3 times a week and swim however many days I can manage. Not a huge fan of cardio so I figure swimming will be my overall cardio.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 10 lb

14%

So this update has been long overdue! I haven't been coming on here because it's my senior year of college and quite frankly I haven't had time to breathe. I am back for very selfish reasons however and hoping that someone can help...
I lift weights 3 times a week and do cardio at least 4 days a week but I aim for 5 or 6. The days that I lift vary but these are the exercises I do, mixing it up every time.
Chest/Shoulders Day:
DB or Barbell Bench Press
DB Flyes
Flye Machine
Chest Press Machine
Shoulder...
things are pretty messy here, I've had some issues with uni and now trying to fix everything up now. Training is coming along ok, keeping a diary of my workouts and its been a good motivator i think :) Hope your feeling better very soon!!!
aww... thanks! I have a major sweet tooth also! I LOOVE cookies, and cakes, and whatever! Infact, ive already started planning on thanksgiving, and christmas.. I found an awesome recipe yesterday for a crustless pumpkin pie! So if im gonna eat the sweets, im gonna have MY version! Best of luck to you in your goals! It takes dedication, and a strong mind, but you can do it.. You look awesome already!
Don't have any secret!! LOl I am just eating plain food, cardio and weights. Doing those three consistly. I do weight 5 times a weeks with my boyfriend and cardio three times a week and abs after that if I have time. Keep working hard, your abs are starting to show off in your picture. Let me know if you have any other questions and stay in touch.
hey -- you've done AWESOME work! I've coached a few women (one or two from B.U.!0 and I gotta tell ya -- you've got a LOT going for ya! When are YOU planning on stepping up and competing?! For real.
You've got abgreat platfdorm to develope an extraordinary physique. Don't waste that opportunity by skipping meals, or worse neglecting to eat nutrient rich foods. Eat great. Look great.
Your abs look pretty great so far! How clean is your diet? Because it takes being extremely strict with what I let in my body to get rid of the last bit of fat.
